I decided to refinance with PENNYMAC my original lender. The process was very very smooth, from the very first phone call to the last communication stating that my loan was closing was seamless. I want to thank the whole PENNYMAC team for the smooth process. I got an excellent rate and I’m extremely happy. In my opinion and I’m a retired Fire Captain PENNYMAC is the only way to go.
Very easy process to refinance They were able to match a rate I had from another lender. I wanted to stay with Penny Mac as they had my loan before and I really like their loan servicing, customer service, and website.

I was told in writing by pennymac I would receive money back at closing (3k). The day before closing I happened to call my title company to confirm my appointment. My title company told me I would have to pay 4k at closing and I had a hour to wire the money or I couldn’t close the next business day. They just received “new” documents from pennymac.
