Settlement Statement changed repeatedly, each time different. We agreed that there would be no escrow and all the documents reflected that (including the documents I signed with the closing agent), then with no notice or discussion, an escrow was added. It was too much paperwork and I felt rushed to sign things I didn't understand.
Everything was outstanding - from beginning to close; except I shredded the check when closing by accident and I still have yet to receive the reissued check from the Escrow company!
There’s an automated documents request system that is used and it contradicts what has actually been submitted. On several occasions, I had already submitted requested documents but then was sent an automated email asking for them to be submitted. It caused some confusion during the process.
