closing was accurate and on time. the only comment i would make to the team is that if a consumer is going to need to wire money- you should give them the instructions on how to do it as soon as possible as it takes time. in my case- i got the instructions because i asked the day prior. if i had received them at close- i would not have been able to get it done in time.
We were kept up to date as closing approached.
Lee Gates began our process and the communication was fine. Once the loan was handed over to andy, the miscommunication and misinformation began. I repeatedly told andy the best method for communication was calling my cell phone directly, but he continued to leave voicemails on my wife's phone. Peter Ashworth was a stand out. The rest of the PennyMac process was a bit difficult.
Cesar was great, wonderful even, but the process and the multiple requests for the same documents became tiresome... even for Cesar. It just felt like parts of Pennymac have no clue what is going on in another part of the same company. Pennymac's left hand doesn't know what the right is doing. Streamlining the document process and not attempting to penalize self-employed individuals would make the experience better! Cesar was fantastic! He was the only person I dealt with at PennyMac who was. I was a current customer. Previous loan officer of 10 years so I know the process well. I stayed with PennyMac for ease of closing. Low DTI, very low LTV and large loan. First loan officer left, no communication. Loan Sat for almost a month and was cancelled.
