The support and professionalism of Faiza Saleem in your m.a.c Team. My Her follow-up, particularly after my loan officer (Mark Carpenter) was no longer involved in the refinance project, was very much appreciated. She is detail orientated. She carefully and understandably answered all my questions. This was very important to me being a retired engineer. I have the same comments for Terrell Jean who became my new loan officer. Everything flowed quickly and professionally . My only concern was that I was told I would not have to make payments for February and March since I closed the end of January. I assumed my February payment would not be automatically deducted but to my surprise it was. Had I known this upfront, I would not have made plans to use the money elsewhere. Now I understand that I will be reimbursed but I feel this should have been made clear to me in the beginning. Overall, everything was very smooth.

Penny Mac acquired my mortgage after my initial closing and they were proactive in letting me know rates had dropped and that there was a potential for savings. The streamline refinance was very easy and the individuals I worked with at Penny Mac were very nice and professional.

Adam Key was the worst loan officer I’ve dealt with. He started the process by not clearly detailing the loan costs and APR. He was then unable to give me a reason why my APR was higher than he said it would be before applying (no credit or equity issues). Because of this, I shopped the loan and got a better rate. I asked Adam to price match and he said he would ask and call me back in about two hours. He never called back.
