Firstly prompt and accurate communication would have helped immensly. Just one example of this was that we received three notices that PennyMac had all the forms and information needed only to be told that they needed more. We had to fax the forms to PM so I used UPS to do it. With all the forms we sent, we sent about $70 to do this. But the amount was not important to me as I just wanted to give them everything they needed. Yet we had to fax things three different times. I had to call 4 different times to get 4 different explanations as to where my $5k in missing escrow funds had gone and was told each time everything was fine and the numbers worked out only to have a "random audit" of my account acknowledge the money was missing and a credit was applied to my account about a month later.
