Not a great experience this time I've been going to Penrod dental for about 2 years now and every time had a good experience. I don't have any major dental issues so it's a pretty basic cleaning and I'm on my way. Yesterday's appointment was different. The hygienist was extremely heavy handed and not very careful so it was painful. I'm in my forties and go every 6 months and I have never had a painful cleaning. Professional Hygienist recommended that I return for a 4 month follow up after evaluating amount of tartar build up occurring with daily flossing/brushing (6 month interval trial did not work for me).

Not Satisfied With Visit I came in for a night mouth guard fitting and to everyone's surprise it was the wrong one. So I had to go through another cast fitting again and areange to come back. The office manager is making it up by off setting my out of pocket cost.

Second opinion consultation Dr Penrod gave me a second opinion on a tooth that needed to be either filled or crowned. This was free consultation and he explained to me what my options were. Very professional consultation and I would recommend him and Penrod Dental if you have an issue regarding something of this nature.

Cleaning appointment I saw Cherie today for a teeth cleaning appointment. I hate having my teeth cleaned but Cherie always gets me through it, and the nitrous they provide doesn't hurt. Thank you Cherie for being patient with me. Dr. Penrod is very lucky to have such amazing staff working for him.

I had my teeth cleaned today at 7AM which I have done on a regular basis. Penrod Dental is always ready for you when you arrive at their office.

Let me say I really like the Dr. Pernod, the office staff and the hygienist that cleaned my teeth and would recommend anyone to their offices. What I didn't like during this visits was what I thought was regular cleaning, in fact turned out to be a periodontics cleaning yet I wasn't asked if I wanted this nor was I informed that I was getting this until I had to pay a high copay based on past cleanings at the office. Normally there are no copay's for regular dental cleaning under my insurance. Its like going to the nail salo... read more

The hygienist sold me an prescription antibacterial mouthwash and did not write any instructions on the bottle. When checking gum pockets she stuck the probe in so far that it was painful; I did not experience that previously in your office nor at any other dentist office.
