The attached picture is from when I picked my in-laws and my best friends dog Buster from the vet in the middle of his stay at Pet Paradise. He's lost his eye sight in that eye forever. Took my boys in for grooming only so review is based just on that. The groomer is super nice, affordable and seemed patient. However I was surprised how quickly we got the call that they were done. When we got home I noticed how uneven their cuts were all over their bodies. I'm talking spiky messy uneven in places. Usually a groomer will make more than one pass over a pup with the clippers to get all the hair and make a cut even. We have used pet paradise for5 or 6 years. Boarding and grooming. A few ago we took our 2 dogs there for 2 days. We give written instructions on what to feed both dogs. They stay in a suite and pay extra for more outside time. When we picked them up it took at least 10 minutes for them to bring them to the front. While waiting we spoke with the groomer and she said they were fine. My little jack Russell came out barely breathing. Her food had not even been opened. After my dog's last stay at Pet Paradise Las Colinas, she contracted kennel cough and oral viral papillomas. My vet confirmed the diagnosis, and when I called PPLC, they verified 4 other dog owners complained about their dogs contracting kennel cough as well. As for the the viral papillomas, those were contracted from another infected dog. I'm furious because this organization charges $45 a night per stay and it is evident that they do not clean their facility well nor screen the dogs they take in as well. The only reason I keep coming to Pet Paradise is grooming services because they started charging too much for boarding (I can pay an airline to fly my pet with me cheaper than leaving him at Pet Paradise). NOW I can never get an appointment to get my dog groomed. Why do they only have one groomer??? I called today able to take any grooming appointment for Wednesday or Thursday...and there is not ONE availability?! This is ridiculous. I will never take my dogs here again. I went to drop them off, having had an appointment. They could not find their bordetella confirmation - which I gave them - to enter into their system back in May. There has been a lot of changes of staff and ownership. I could not leave my dogs because they didn't have the confirmation. Thank goodness I was able to take them with me. However, had I been catching a flight I would have been in trouble. They also never bathe them when asked to do so. I always seemed to get there... read more
