I had the pleasure or being a patient of Dr. Ahlering's. He is a wonderful doctor, very down to earth and easy to talk to. He has an amazing beside manner and never gave up on us. Dr. Ahlering did extensive testing on my husband and I, and found he had a male factor and IVF was our best option. No other doctor looked past the initial semen analysis. I am so thankful I went to see Dr. Ahlering and have the pleasure of being a mother to my son Tyler all because of him.
My wife and I have known Dr. Ahlering for 5 years. He has not only been a wonderful physician, but a great person as well. He is more than helpful, patient and kind. Dr. Ahlering and his staff always greet you with a smile and go above and beyond with their patients. You will not find better! Thank you for everything!
At 2 1/2 years into our infertility battle we had already been to 4 well-known RE's in St. Louis, we met with Dr. Ahlering. We instantly liked him. I should have known after Dr. Ahlering was 2.5 hrs late for my initial consult and spent a whopping 30 mins with me me giving a basic biology lesson,this was not going to go well. While he was at SIRM, I found him and the staff disorganized, and the main form of information was to refer to the website or attend seminars to gain knowledge and raffle free IVFs. Dr. Peter Ahlering, was kind and gracious and optimistic, and made my husband and I both feel at ease, he was truthful and sensitive. A focus on patient-centered, compassionate care, that is how I felt even when things didn’t go the way we prayed , He handled us as individuals with treatment plans developed to provide results as quickly, safely and inexpensively as possible, and thanks to him we celebrated our girls 10th Birthday in January!
I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Ahlering. We went to three different fertility doctors in the St. Louis area and there is absolutely no comparison. Dr. Ahlering is knowledgeable, caring, attentive, and employs the perfect mix of optimism and reality in a field that requires a very special personality to really be effective. My wife and I traveled to see Dr Ahlering from Nashville, TN. We were not pleased with the clinic we were with and had been told after 4 IUIs, 2 IVFs, and 1 frozen cycle that we could not have children with my wife's eggs. In one word...WOW! I found out about Dr. Ahlering from a parent of one of my students in my classroom who can thank Dr. A for her triplets. She shared with me about him as she knew of my IF and issues with my past RE here in Kansas City. We had a phone consult in January where he went over our options.
