Absolutely awful experience. I never received a return phone call after my second failed IVF cycle. A receptionist scheduled an appointment time for Dr. Ahlering to call after my first IVF cycle and he never called. Multiple phone calls and emails were required to finally have the Dr. call us back. So thankful for Dr. Ahlering for always being amazing!!! 7 years ago his hardwork, dedication and compassion truly made going through 4 IVF's as "easy" as it possibly could have been!! Without his knowledge, we wouldn't have our beautiful girls today!! Then 2 1/2 years ago when we were completely surprised by my natural pregnancy; Dr. Ahlering and staff welcomed us with open arms to confirm my pregnancy and do an ultrasound to confirm everything was OK. I went to Dr. Ahlering for infertility issues. I was extremely disappointed in him and his staff. There was a lot of miscommunication amongst the staff. My emails and phone calls were often never returned. They did not make me feel comfortable and I believe that's important when you are struggling with such a hard diagnosis. I have since seen someone else and I'm so glad I made the switch.
Very Professional and very favorable cost for services in IVF realtive to toehrs in the area. They are very accomadating and Dr Ahlering is VERY knowledgable, respectful and caring. He spends the time and makes the information clear, obviously he has been in the field for a long time and it shows. As a professional in medicine myself, I think MCRM overall is the excellent.
Dr. Ahlering and his staff have been nothing but professional, courteous, supportive, attentive, etc. I could go on and on. There's something to be said about a doctor that will go out of his way to talk with you even when you're in the office NOT to see him. LOVE that Dr. Ahlering goes above and beyond to listen to his patients and make sure that they are understanding the plan of care. We've seen many doctors in the St. Louis metro area for infertility consults and there is no DOUBT in my MIND that we have made the right choice with Dr. Ahlering and MCRM.
I have been to a few Doctors and offices in St Louis area and found Dr Ahlering and MCRM to be the best for sure. They have great staff, he pays attention and discusses things with you. All very educational as well. Also, they are the best cost of any that I have seen for IVF for those of us without insurance. They are very professional and I know that my Doctor thinks they are the best as well. I now know of several others that have been to Dr Ahlering and everyone agrees. You cannot go wrong.
I can't even begin to say how much I appreciate Dr. Ahlering, but I will try. Dr. Ahlering really cares about his patients, along with whatever infertility issues are causing concern. He took his time with me to explain the entire IVF process and what to expect. He has a wonderful nurse name Mary, that walks you through the whole process regarding medicine and the calendar. Dr. Ahlering was the fourth fertility doctor we saw here in Saint Louis. He was by far the most comforting and easy to talk to. He explained things very clearly and we liked that he listened to what we wanted and was willing to be aggressive in our approach to my fertility issues. He was up with the latest technology which was very important to us. He also has a staff of excellent embryologists which is also vital.
