Technician arrived early which was a plus. Couldn't fix the issue, but not his fault. System is old and needs to be replaced.

Petro has been reliable when it comes to delivering heating oil and propane. Unfortunately, their service department is a completely different story. After nearly ten years as a customer, I’ve learned that they are not certified by the manufacturers of the heat pumps, air conditioning units, or boilers they install and service. This is an email I sent to Petro. No reseponse. "I can't get Petro on the phone, the wait time is always about 30 minutes and there is no direct number to bypass this, I will tell you now that $1,200 to replace an expansion tank is egregious if not illegal. I have posted this to linkedin, facebook and next door. My replies have included estimates from plumbers of about $400. An expansion tank is about $200 at Home Depot. If I could give zero stars I would. I am so incredibly disappointed in Petro Gas. When we first moved into the house we had so many billing issues with them and they kept charging us for things that the previous owners had already paid for. That was resolved after countless calls and time. Now, I called them with an emergency. We were smelling gas in our home. They told me to call the fire department in order to clear the residence and deem it safe. We did that within 15 minutes of reporting this to Petro. Now, 9 hours after... read more

HORRIBLE, I called in November to have my tanks picked up/removed on 12/31/21, it is now 1/6/22 and they have yet to be picked up. I have called Ms. CAMPBELL several times with NO response back from her. I have called the 800 number begging for them to give me a date when the tanks will be picked up because someone else is now USING MY TANKS. Per PETRO, I WILL HAVE SOMEONE CALL YOU, i have not heard from anyone
