Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Restaurant Week options were unique, complete and tasted great. A bargain price made it all the more enjoyable. Friendly staff checked frequently and kept our beverages full constantly. PCG has the best tasting iced tea in all of Phoenix and provides all sweeteners, rather than just a select few to make their job easier. A great meal always, but particularly during Restaurant Week!
First time with this establishment. This is restaurant week, so a crowd was to be expected, but pretty full, so a bit on the noisy side at first, Service was slowed a bit due to crowd, and(maybe) thinly staffed since probably just now getting reopened after Covid. We were there for the restaurant week, excited to try the restaurant and sample the it’s menu. We drove about 30 min to get there from North Scottsdale. That’s about how long we also waited for our drinks after ordering them with the waiter. The portions (appetizer/dinner/dessert) were tiny. I assume it’s because of the pre-fix offering, although I thought the portions would be the same as a la carte. The pork “tender”loin was chewy and dry despite the sauce. Table was ready when we arrived. Water and drink orders were timely . Waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and there was a good selection of beef, chicken, sea food and vegetarian options.
