This friendly neighborhood hangout feels like it's been around for much longer than it has. Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Whatever the reason, you will feel comfortable and welcome here. The menu features large portions of all-American mains with Southwestern twists. Pizzas and light bites perfectly complement a glass of wine, beer or cocktail from the bar.

We made our reservation for 6:45 and we got there at 6:40. We were told that it would be 25 to 30 minutes wait for a table. That was pushing our plans for after dinner plans and it wasn't going to work. We have never had reservation with Open Table where once presenting ourselves we had to wait 30 minutes for a table. Reservations are usually very reliable so we always plan accordingly. We decided to go outside and discuss the situation and noticed several empty tables on the patio. The food and service was excellent. It’s a hidden gem.
The eggplant sandwich was delicious. The restaurant was clean and our server was very professional and friendly. A great place for getting together with friends.
Sadly, the service is not as good as the food. We went to celebrate our anniversary and will not be back. It’s too bad, but the food was wonderful. The service is just bad enough that the food can’t carry the experience. We went for the first night of restaurant week, reservations for 7:15. We mentioned it was our wedding anniversary on the reservations, not a word was said about our anniversary by anyone in the restaurant. Brought my son in law and he was blown away by the exceptional Norwegian salmon they serve there. Best he said he ever had...so so moist, flavorful, out of this world good. I had one of my favorites dishes the 16th Street Short Rib smaller size. Always a winner, tender, tasty, just the perfect portion. In fact we are going back there tonight with more visiting family. The service was good. The interior was not what I expected but it was still good. The serving sizes were good. I had the braised beef ribs. The beef was tender and the flavor was okay. The real star of the show was the sauce that was served on the rib. It was a masterpiece !!! I asked for more and if you order just ask for more up-front. It makes the beef really good.
