Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Met friends for lunch. Menu perfect, service delightful, taste - out of this world. We lingered over lunch and never felt rushed or unappreciated.
The experience over all was good. The service was really good but some of the food was bland. I would recommend to my friends though if they are in the area.
Food and cocktails were excellent Waiter (Jake) was very attentive. Atmosphere relaxing. Will definitely return often.

Honestly, my friend and I could not believe how tasty the food was, as we went to Phoenix City Grille for our Sunday brunch yesterday! We live right down the street and oftentimes leave our neighborhood to try many other restaurants throughout the city, but Phoenix City Grille never disappoints! I had Carne Asada Breakfast tacos and my friend had Chile Relleno and both were amazing! We will be staying in the neighborhood much more in the future! ;) It's just a longstanding outstanding restaurant!
