About this business

RestaurantsAmerican

This friendly neighborhood hangout feels like it's been around for much longer than it has. Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Whatever the reason, you will feel comfortable and welcome here. The menu features large portions of all-American mains with Southwestern twists. Pizzas and light bites perfectly complement a glass of wine, beer or cocktail from the bar.

We had the pleasure to dine here as a party of 3 during ASU graduation week. Great ambiance, better than excellent service, and delicious food. Wonderful, upscale casual atmosphere allows for friendly and relaxed conversation. Thanks for a delightful dining experience!! Much continued success!!!

My first time there — we all liked what we ordered, the dessert could have been better (chocolate torte) But I would definitely go back again. Eager to try the happy hour

We've been regulars since they opened but have noticed they're changing some of our favorites including what was their signature dish. We'll see how things go.

We have been to the Phoenix City Grille several times and enjoyed each visit. Food is tasty, warm ambiance, and friendly service.

Good food, but the desert was the best ever. Sold out of Perrier when we were there, but the Coke showed up full every time I finished a glass right on time. So the service was on point. I'd go again, but would order something else - not the chocolate torte though - I'd order that every time.

The hamburgers, scrimp, and ribs were moist and flavorful. Our waitress was very accommodating and suggested a number of options for our group of 8

Delicious food! I had the green chile pork stew. Desserts were to-die-for! We tried the chocolate torte and bread pudding with whiskey sauce. Fabulous service - our waiter was polite, friendly, and accommodating - ex. he happily took phone photos of the group of friends I was with at our request. The noise level was no problem. My friends and I could actually hear each other talk. So many restaurants these days blare their music to the point where's it's impossible to hold a conversation in their restaurants. Loved it all. Mr. Knapp graciously came to our table to answer my brother’s question about ingredients and preparation of his pork tenderloin, a menu special 11/30/18. My baquetta was wonderful, as were the salmon skewers and planked salmon.
