This friendly neighborhood hangout feels like it's been around for much longer than it has. Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Whatever the reason, you will feel comfortable and welcome here. The menu features large portions of all-American mains with Southwestern twists. Service was a little ‘iffy’ at first but the new server really made it much better. Try the corn bread appetizer
What an outstanding staff. We spoke with the owner, head chef and several other employees. Max, our server was unbelievably perfect. His helpfulness, personality and attention to our dining experience was awesome! Must try dishes: Cornbread and/or cakes, bacon wrapped shrimp, Brussels sprouts plate! We also had an opportunity to taste one of chef’s offerings for the Rum Tasting that night. It was a shrimp Ceviche with avocado toast rounds. Delicious.

I have been a patron of Phoenix city grille for several years. I had dinner there Sunday with my date and again, was not disappointed! The Halibut was perfection! Nice wine selections(,although I continue to ask for Arizona wines to be on their menu). The wait staff is always friendly and helpful and are very accommodating to my dietary needs!
Second time coming here. It was even better than I remembered. Great server. Great hostesses and the ambience was just right. We’ll be going back soon.
