Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Checking back on this restaurant as it had been awhile since we had dined here. Found it to be as we remembered, a quaint little neighborhood restaurant with excellent food, service, and ambience. Will definitely recommend this to friends and come back more often.
Consistent American cuisine in a unique, quiet setting with great service. Have never had a bad meal here, and have been a regular customer for 11 years
We enjoyed a very pleasant evening at the Phoenix City Grille. We were both warmly welcomed at the front desk upon entry and likewise were pleasantly told to enjoy our evening when leaving. Food, service, ambiance and setting were all outstanding. We look forward to our next visit!

Service was great. Our server was so sweet! Food was good. Solid. The queso fundido was a good consistency w a nice mild heat. The steakhouse burger tasty. The short rib was a little dry but with the sauce. Had a good flavor. Reminded me of an upgraded mom pot roast! Will be back.
