Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Whatever the reason, you will feel comfortable and welcome here. The menu features large portions of all-American mains with Southwestern twists. Everything was fabulous, starting with the special Old Fashioned cocktail. One of us ordered the halibut special and found it very flavorful and moist. Our other guest ordered a double serving of the bacon-wrapped shrimp appetizer for his entree. Always delicious! Two of us ordered short rib. Done to perfection and excellent sides. We have dined at Phoenix City Grille for years because of its reliable excellence. We have never been disappointed. What a gem!

PCG never disappoints! I tried the eggplant sandwich for the first time and it was outstanding.
We have eaten here many times over the years and the food and service has always been excellent, the only negative we had last night was as we were being seated is that we were told that a large party was coming in at 7:30 in about an hour so not a concern but then I started thinking as too why tell us that, if we were still eating or finishing a drink would we be asked or told to leave because "The Large Party" was here. Just seemed kind of pushy/rude to us, is there money better than ours?
