I have gone to PNAH for a while now, and always suspected they were all about the money, giving diagnoses for unnecessary treatments and tests. This was proven to me today, when I asked if they would provide an antibiotic ointment that I could use for minor eye infections in rescue cats I work with. I can't adequately explain how common these eye infections are - most rescues have a running supply of terramycin so they can easily treat when these infections occur and spread between cats. PNAH said they would not provide t... read more

Christine, we take your feedback and comments very seriously. Unfortunately, as we explained on the phone, we are not allowed to prescribe medication without a client patient relationship, as described in state statue. We are an accredited feline friendly practice and donate to many local rescues. We would be happy to discuss your options or any further concerns further, should you wish to give us a call. Thank you.
Just got back in town and found out Dr. Andrea left. When did he leave and do we know where he went? He is the best. I just called to get an appointment for our dog and couldn't get in even next day. This is not good. The receptionist wasn't helpful. We have been going there for 10 years.
Business response:
Wendy, we are truly sorry to hear you had a negative experience with us and appreciate you taking the time to chat in more detail. Our number one goal is to offer exceptional care and service, so please know we take this feedback seriously. We have shared your comments internally and will be working hard to ensure your next visit with us is a good one. We miss Dr. Andrea too since his move to CA, however we have three wonderful vets to help care for Wally & Eddie. Our team looks forward to seeing you and your family again so... read more
There are vets who provide medical treatment to your beloved pets, and there are vets who are businesses. Pima North is a business. They provide medical treatment but be assured they will charge a lot more than others and they might recommend meds and/or treatment that may or may not be necessary....and charge you for it. When it comes to really caring for the well being of your animals and you, well, that's not in the script. They really care about charging you. Our dog got meds during kenneling without a test to verify co... read more

Thank you for providing your feedback and letting us know about this issue. We set a high standard for ourselves and are truly sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations. Please call us at (406) 829-8150 and ask for the manager so that we can better assist you. Thank you, Pima North Animal Hospital
Do not go here. After Dr Brett Andrea left this place has gone totally down hill. The managing director is cold, has no bed side manner at all and has no people skills at all. After being a a very happy client for almost 9 years, and rescuing a dog from here, they treated us terribly, the receptionist hung up on us and then lied about it. There are many caring vets out there, don't waste your time here, because they are not.
Business response:
Hi Barbara, we are so glad that you enjoyed your experience with our hospital and staff. On behalf of everyone here, welcome to the PNAH family and we look forward to caring for your pups!
We have been trying to work with Pima Animal Hospital with our two dogs over the past 9 months. We bought their very expensive puppy insurance and then they recommend a special type of spay and neuter- they do not do (of course). Dr recommends only the most expensive foods to work through puppy diarrhea - hypoallergenic/ prescription food for a Great Dane is hundreds a month!! (I found a good one that was reasonable and worked "Purina") then took them in for an ear infection but the vet missed an intense bacterial infection... read more

It saddens the whole team at Pima North Animal Hospital to read your impression, as we are all so very proud of the high level of caring and service we provide to our patients and their families. There are some inaccuracies in your statement we'd like to address: 1. Our puppy wellness plans DO include surgical sterilization procedures, either spay or neuter. What was suggested for you to consider for your dogs was not a special form of spay/neuter, rather, it was something called a prophylactic gastropexy, aka/"stomach tacki... read more
Completely overpriced vet facility. Very disappointed that they were definitely trying to "sell" while taking care of my dog. I have several dogs and will not be back.
Business response:
Thank you for providing your feedback and letting us know how you feel, J L.. We set a high standard for ourselves and are truly sorry to hear that we made you feel "sold" on your pet's care. We aim to provide the best service for all of our patients and have various wellness plans to help with affordability. If there is anything we can do to remedy this situation, please call us at (480) 563-5432 -we're here to help. Thank you, Pima North Animal Hospital
Pima North Animal Hospital lacks the professionalism and expertise to care for beloved pets. Dr. David Taetle doesn't know how to run a veterinary practice and can not be trusted with pet care. My experience has been that this practice consistently books several appointments for the same time frame. I was shown into a room and left after 30 minutes when not a single person came into the room to even say that the doctor was running late. After I left I called them back and their explanation was that no one knew I was waiting ... read more

Hi Rosalie, thank you for your feedback. We know your time is valuable, so we apologize you have had to wait at your last two appointments. We sincerely do our best to see every patient on time and will work hard to continue to be as efficient as possible.
A simple awful place. We left our king charles cav here for boarding and while theu were walking him he scratched hid eye. No appology for walking him in a cactus area instead of the street. And they made me pay to have it treated. They also lost his stool sample 3 times. Their paw plan is a scam. Don't sign up for it please. Their priced are outrageous.
Business response:
Thank you for your feedback on our hospital, Erich. Our veterinarians and staff work hard to ensure your pet is receiving the highest quality in veterinary medicine and care, and are sad to hear your experience while in our care was anything less than extraordinary. Our PAW Plans offer significant discounts and savings on preventative care, with allowable payments spread over time. We would be happy to assess your current PAW Plan and determine how we can better suit it to your pet's needs. We would appreciate the opport... read more
