Works better than my old vacuum I've used the Polaris 9550 pool vacuum for several months now, and so far it seems to work much better than my 23 year old Kreepy Krauly vacuum. Because I paid a lot more for it, my expectations are much higher. I use it about once a week, running it for 1.5 - 3 hours at a time. I never leave it in the pool outside of the cleaning cycle, so I've not needed to use the programming (scheduling) feature. Excellent Robotic Cleaner, cool remote-video review First, the remote control for this unit is super cool and just for that I would get it. Just kidding. But it is a nice touch. A decent tool for the price. First, I bought mine through the local store rather than online and mine is white rather than blue like the picture. That said, it's a great machine that really saves me time. The negatives first, it has a tendency to turn left a lot so the cord will get twisted the longer you have it cleaning. My solution is just twist the cable to the left two times for every hour I have it clean before I hook the cable to the base unit on the cart and it balances out by the time it's finished. Good Robot! We ordered the Polaris 9550 pool cleaner after having an Aquabot T2 (which is also a good piece of equipment). We went with this model because of the remote control and good reviews from another web site. So far I really like this machine. Yes, it is largely plastic, but with a salt water pool, that's what I need. This is the easiest pool robot we have used in the 11 years of having a large, inground, fiber glass pool.
