Great Robot Have owned this for about a year and a half now and it gets used once a week. This has been the best investment for my pool so far. This is the first robot I have owned (besides a Kreepy Krawly). It used to take me about an hour to clean the pool with a manual vac. Now I drop this in and let it do its thing for around two hours. It cleans 98% of the pool in that time. For the other 2% I can use the remote if I really care. I don't usually use the wall climbing feature so I can't comment on that so much. Great robot if you want reduce cleaning time for yourself and not hire a pool service. Had a new 39x16 fiberglass pool installed, with 8' deep end. I wanted something to keep it clean while reducing my time without needing to hire someone. After reading many reviews I got the Polaris 9550 Sport. When the pool was completed there was a lot of silt from red clay (live in Ga) in the pool. I ordered the "fine" filter for the unit too, as the filter which comes with it does not help with silt. Love this thing. This is one great cleaner. Love it. Be sure to keep the basket cleaned out and cord untangled for best results. Cleans a big pool in less than 3 hrs.

Good for light maintenance. Not recommended for cleaning whole pool. I have a vinyl lined pool, 8' deep end, it has problems climbing the walls to clean them. I was hoping this would help with the pool opening. But I ended up having to jump in and scrub the pool my self. It has a problem with gripping the side of the pool and also problem climbing the slope of my pool from the deep end to the shallow end.
