Polaris G52 Back-up Valve Assembly. This is a factory original Polaris replacement back up valve. It has a timer mechanism inside that diverts water out of a jet every 5-10 minutes. This jet acts as a back up, pulling the cleaner out from the pool floor or wall. There is an arrow on one side of the hose barb that should face towards the cleaner. Happy Customer My polaris was not working properly. Upon receiving the G52 Back up Valve and installing it in the pool, the polaris sweep is now working fine. We again have sparkling water in the pool.

Polaris G52 Replacement--Great Deal Couldn't believe the price I paid for the Polaris G52 Vac-Sweep Replacement Kit. I first decided to go to the local pool supply store for a quick exchange on the part needed. Once I saw how much the local pool stores were charging, I decided convenience was going to need to be replaced with patience. Greatful I found this site online. The SAVINGS were huge. I won't be shopping at my local pool stores anymore.

Polaris G52 Back-Up Pool Valve Kit This works great. I have a Pentair pool cleaner, but their back-up valve is about $80.00 with shipping and this one can be used instead at about $45.00. If your old valve's outside case is not cracked, you might keep it, as they can crack from all the bumping they do against the side of the pool, the steps and the spa. Might save you $20.00 for a new outside case in the future.
