Polaris G52 Back-up Valve Assembly. This is a factory original Polaris replacement back up valve. It has a timer mechanism inside that diverts water out of a jet every 5-10 minutes. This jet acts as a back up, pulling the cleaner out from the pool floor or wall. There is an arrow on one side of the hose barb that should face towards the cleaner. Perfect replacement! The Zodiac G52 was a perfect replacement for my aging Polaris 280 cleaner! I use a local pool store for chemicals and weekly water testing and they have the same replacement piece for exactly 34 dollars more! As usual, quick shipping and great packaging. Arrived in great shape, worked as described. thinking it will last for a long while.
Zodiac Back Up Valve I went to my local store to purchase this valve and it was over $100. Great Value, Works Great and very easy to put on.
Bought as a back-up when purchasing entire sweep As the headline says, I bought this to have on hand when/if needed. Hope I don't need it soon! The original on the new sweeper actually works better than the old sweeper's did, even when it was new and with the replacement for it. The old sweeper was a different brand.

For our pool This was much cheaper than having the pool company order one and put it on. My husband had a little trouble putting it on, but managed. We were just happy to be able to fix it ourselves.
