Polaris G52 Back-up Valve Assembly. This is a factory original Polaris replacement back up valve. It has a timer mechanism inside that diverts water out of a jet every 5-10 minutes. This jet acts as a back up, pulling the cleaner out from the pool floor or wall. There is an arrow on one side of the hose barb that should face towards the cleaner. Helps the polaris "back that thang up" When my old back up valve had bit the dust, I ordered this replacement. Installation takes maybe 5 minutes and now the Polaris is as good as new. No complaints whatsoever and in another 4 or 5 years after this one has served it's purpose I'll be coming back for another one.

Perfect fix This was the perfect fix for our polaris cleaner and was very easy to replace with a few small tools and ten minutes. This was much cheaper than in the pool stores.
Money saving replacement I was quoted an exhorbitant fee by my pool service to replace the back up valve that failed. The Zodiac fit perfectly and works perfectly.
Saved my Polaris! Not only was my Polaris 380 not backing up properly it was running very sluggish. Before buying a new cleaner I tried this and it runs like new.
