Replacement motor I bought this as a replacement motor for one that was damaged after an extended power outage due to freezing rain and frigid temps. When my pool service guy came out and told me that the secondary motor was shot and that it'd be around $500-$550 to replace it, I did what I always do...checked Amazon for a baseline price comparison. booster pump is great Orderd on Wednesday, received on friday, installed on Sunday. Very easy to replace old pump with the new. Works like a charm. if your Polaris pump goes out, get this PB-64 as it is easy to put in and works great.
cant go wrong with genuine polaris Impellor went out and pump was old, just to replace the pump with a rebuilt unit would have cost the same as this entirely new unit. Only makes sense to purchase new. Easy to install and came with all required parts.

A Good Pump My old pump was fried and I didn't want to pay the exorbitant fees the local pool store charges for installation so I took a chance and elected to install this myself. The installation was pretty easy. I used PVC (like I had on the previous one) rather than the included hoses. It's been about a year and a half and it's still going strong. The sound is reasonable.
Easy Installation and quieter than previous model Item was packaged well and arrived quickly. This model seems to replace several short comings from the previous model such as a better housing and circuitry. Installation was easy. Included flexible hose allows you to move things a bit and not be as precise as needed when mating up PVC fittings to existing plumbing.
Polaris price buster Of course Polaris has top notch equipment. The only problem is they know it and the consumer pays dearly for this. Amazon had the best available price and I will continue to check here before buying.
