This Polaris sweeper is cheaply made. It is brand new and the float has already had to be replaced and the part that plugs into the pool wall cracked so we had to replace it too. I would not suggest anybody purchase this model.
Miserable experience. Bought first of March, I nearly April it began sitting in corners, rear up high, wheels not turning. Call to Polaris got message “34 minute wait time—-a representative will return your call.” Never heard from anyone. Trying to work with contractor, distributor, and Polaris. Everyone passes the buck—I paid a lot of $ for a poorly designed poorly constructed plastic disappointment. I have owned Polaris pool cleaners for 25+ years that performed great— this is a bad surprise.
Keeps the pool clean -this was a replacement for an "old" Polaris that worked great for many years.
At first all the Polaris would do is tangle itself up near the side of the pool where the hose was connected. It would NOT WORK! Fortunately, I used the internet and found the solution to the problem. THE HOSE MUST BE STRETCHED FOR A DAY OR TWO since it was syored in the box in a coiled condition! Your instructions say NOTHING about this. THEY SHOULD SINCE MY POLARIS WOULD NOT WORK WITHOUT HAVING THE HOSE STRETCHED. Now the Polaris does an excellent job.
