A Life (and Clean Window) Saver Yes, it's true the vents get clogged, but I find that if I just take a toothbrush and scrub the vents I can have it clear in about a minute. Each Saturday I empty the cleaner bag and scrub the vents on the tail. For us this effort it is certainly worth it to not have water-stained windows. One star off because it would be better if it didn't get clogged in the first place. Should be included with a new Polaris This works as advertised, no more salty windows for us, and the tail seems to be just as effective as before installing this accessory.I am curious why this product isn't already included on new brand Polaris'. Isn't it in Zodiac's best interest to supply the most effective product possible out of the box? It's not like it would impact manufacturing cost, this little piece of cast plastic couldn't cost more then a quarter to make.
FANTASTIC PRODUCT!!!!! We have had issues with our Polaris' tail spaying our windows since we had it. I was about to give up on Polaris and get an alternative pool cleaner when our local pool store recommended this product. It's a game changer! We no longer have to purchase a new cleaner to keep our windows clean-or have to dodge the sprays when we are outside. Great improvement and worth the price. Stopped the water wars with my pool sweep! Been using this for a couple months and it is a GREAT improvement. The scrubber does a better job and hugs the floor and walls of the pool. Should mean fewer manual brush-downs and cleaner water. Significantly, there are no more sneak attacks on my house and me by the squirting pool sweep. Love it We love this. Our windows, plants, dog, phones, laptops, kindles, and people never get sprayed by the Polaris tail anymore. You do need to clean it about once every 2-3 months. Some of the holes that make it work get clogged with seeds and other plant matter, and the tail stops sweeping back and forth. Many people give it a poor rating because of this, but to us it's a small price to pay to not have to wash windows or worry about electronics getting sprayed.

When the Polaris would be sweeping, the old tail would come up and out and soak the glass walls. It's a salt water pool, so EVERY day the glass was spotted and dirty. I would clean the outside glass 3 to 4 times a week and it still looked bad. Then I found the TailSweep Pro. Problem solved.
Simple solution to clogging A lot of people have complained that the small hole on this device easily clogs up with grit and then the tail no longer works. There is a relatively simple solution. Just put the sponge part on as directed, but then slide it upwards a little toward the body of the Polaris. This will cover the grid through which small particles enter and block the tail's function. I have had no problems with clogging after doing this, and the tail sweeps well and does not come out of the pool.
No More Sotty Windows This is a great invention. We have an auto pool cleaner with a sweeping tail and it is constantly spraying our windows with pool water. This does not make for a happy wife. I saw this product at a local pool dealer and thought it was a great idea but was not impressed with the price $$, so I checked on Amazon and guess what? A great price and two day shipping. Now I have a happy wife because I have no more spotty windows.
