My pool cleaning robot is a terrible window washer My pool cleaning robot is a terrible window washer. IT HAD TO STOP!For plastic and foam, this is way overpriced, but it did the trick. There is no spray at all, and my windows are spot free.The robot does not seem to move along the pool as fast though since I install the new tailsweep attachment. This does concern me a bit, but it does encourage me to grab a brush so that's exercise I guess.
Excellent, if not absolutely perfect Does exactly what it says - won't spray guests by the pool. Perfect solution.Some, however, have written that the holes asking the side clog easily, which stupid the tail sweep. This is correct, but I have found that if I rap it against the pool coping a few times, the clog is dislodged without removing the piece or even turning off the booster pump. The clog is far less trouble than the jet of water waiting to surprise unsuspecting targets.
Best $17 I have spent on my 30 year old pool! This really lowered the amount of water we were having to add daily due to the Polaris shooting water out of the pool through its tail. Now it never shoots any out. Since our Polaris 180 is 30+ years old, it never had a sponge scrubber so that is a big upgrade. The part arrived in a few days from halfway across the USA. One click ordering was a breeze and installing the part was EZ as stacking Legos. Thanks again Amazon for taking the risk out of E-tail!
Works good, when it's not clogged up. First off, this item does what it should do. It keeps your sweeper tail from spraying water all over the place (I have a Polaris 280). Problem is, if you use it when your pool has a lot of sediment in it, it will "clog up", leaving the tail with little to no action (sweeping). The item has little vents right below the hose scrubber sponge that will get stuff stuck in it (grass, seeds, etc.). When these vents clog up the tailsweeper becomes worthless. Is this really a Polaris part or is it counterfeit? Is this really a part manufactured by Polaris? I bought one at Leslies Pools only to find out this part on Amazon was HALF the price….yes half. I returned the part to Leslies Pools and I received the part from Amazon today. The part arrived in a nondescript plastic bag that does not say Polaris or for that matter have ANY writing on it. Saviour For Those Bothered by the Polaris Squirt The best product ever invented for my backyard windows. I've been plagued for 15 years with Polaris window stains. Every Polaris I have owned has squirted my family room window and I hate it. When I found out about this product I couldn't believe no one had told me about it before. Better than the old style! I have an older Polaris 360. It's given me years of reliable service, but the "tail" would pop out of the water at any given time, and if you were unlucky enough to be in it's sights, you were in for a good soaking! Once in a while the Polaris would get temporarily stuck on a stair in the pool, and shoot a powerful stream of water for about 25 feet, and it could stay in that position for 30 seconds or more! Excellent; works as advertised The product works as advertised. Since installing it (took seconds) there has been virtually no water squirting out of the pool. So far, there has not been any trapped debris that renders it ineffective, as noted by other users.I would give it 5 stars if it proves durable, and so far I've only had it a couple months. works well! I was concerned about the possible clogging problem from other reviews, but have not noticed any problems. Debris does get stuck in the sides, but that does not interfere with operation. I clean the debris out when I empty the bag. My tail hose was worn out on the end, so this product didn't fit well until I purchased a new tail sweep. (If the tail hose was a little more worn out, the sweep pro would not attach at all.) Water sometimes breaks the surface, but it does not travel far enough to hit my windows. The s... read more
