Works great - very dependable I'm writing this review mainly to confirm what many others have written, which is that the Polaris 280 is simply a better product than the more expensive Polaris 380. I've had both of them, since I replaced a dying 280 with the 380. The 380 never worked as well as the 280, and it needed constant tinkering and/or repair to keep it working at all. I finally gave up on the 380 and bought a new 280, and I am very pleased.
Works well when water flow adjusted Received quickly, as advertised, this was to replace the same model, which was worn out. After adjusting the water flow to the unit, as indicated in the directions, it has worked fine. My wife preferred the old leaf-catcher bag, with velcro closing, rather than the new design with a zipper.
Works great After having an older version and now this new one, a great product. Never gets stuck and our pool looks awesome.
Cleans the pool. Would have given it five stars but my pool guy discovered that one of the wheels was put on backwards which caused a bracket to break.
So far So super good This product received really good reviews. So I got one. And I will say this, if you own a pool with out this you are working way to hard. The pool has not been cleaned in a couple of months due to the winter. I had a very good collection of leaves and dirt in the pool, 5 hours after in the installation the pool is clean. And I mean clean. The installation and setup is not too hard. Took about 30 minutes. Two thumbs up.
2nd unit to replace original Our pool came with a Polaris 280; it worked very well. Although I believe a minor repair could get it operational again... five years was a good run. For me, the filter bag life was two years.
Works great Climbs walls, sucks leaves, doesn't get hung up on itself, blasts it's way to happiness when it gets into a sticky situation. Keeps your pool clean without a worry. I only wish it had a larger pouch to hold leaves since I have a ton of leaves, but I guess that's just one of those things I have to keep up with on my pool.
I'm a polaris guy, this is a replacement My old one was just getting old, so I found this for half what the local pool store could order it for. It replaced easily, came quicker than expected, and made last summer very easy to care for my pool under my oak trees. The bag is improved, with a zipper rather than a velcro closure.
Excellent pool cleaner Easy to install and improved model. This not my first Polaris 280 but is s far the best. Avoids tangling and requires little attention. It cleans an outdoor tropical pool thoroughly.
