I wandered the pool cleaning world only to come back home. I bought a home with an 8 year-old Polaris 380. Combined with a DE filter system, the pool was crystal-clear and only needed the Polaris bag cleaned out when filled and checking the skimmer baskets. Works great, no complaints My parents had one of these in their pool when I was a kid (20+ years ago) and I remembered it as doing a pretty good job keeping the pool clean. This 280 has certainly reinforced those memories. I bought a sand/silt bag for it and it does a great job picking up absolutely everything off of the bottom of the pool. It seems to do a decent job climbing the walls too but I don't see it do this very often. Polaris 280 - love it! this polaris cleaned my pool in a matter of hours. I love it! I leave let it run for one hour a day, as maintenance and it works great.
great sweep my pool has never been cleaner... and i switched from a Hayward Phantom - a more expensive cleaner. I would recommend the dirt and debris bag option along with the regular bag... I dont remember the cost of the bag - think it was like $40, but it picks up and traps the smallest of particles and is well worth the extra money. One negative - the hose has become tangled a number of times already - not sure if it is the hose length or what, but i will continue to watch this... Excellent Purchase This pool cleaner has performed great for the price. I am very satisfied with this product. The only setup required was to match the hose length to your pool size. Everything else came ready to go.
Great product I replaced a 380 with this and couldn't be happier. This product cleans my steps where as the 380 just couldn't climb.
Polaris The Polaris products are wonderful! Talk about a pool-man? We call ours Polly and she's a pool-woman! Keeps our pool clean as a pin with no worries. This one is a replacement for an older one that keeps needing new parts but that one is at least 10 years old so the price, when you consider how long they last, isn't bad at all.
