Maybe my expectations were too high. I anticipated an excellent meal and the food was ok. Not poor, but I expected better.

Sea bass was very bland and seemed to be in some kind of basic chicken stock with a couple beans and greens with no added flavor (disappointing considering the price). Swordfish had cream sauce that was excellent and made the dish. Server brought over a free sample appetizer to each table which was a cute idea and added to the overall experience. Server was sweet but very slow service. Expect to wait awhile for drinks.

Wonderful lighting throughout Portico. A little too dark for my liking. The wine room was spectacular. The hostess, waitstaff and the managers were terrific. I got the Chilean Seabass which was delish. I got the Jumbo Shrimp cocktail which I found to be inedible. It was rubbery and chewy. Thankfully the manager took it off our bill. My husband got the Pasta and Giant Wagyu Meatball. He could only eat the meatball but he said his pasta tasted fishy. Quite disappointed.

Veal chop and steak were undercooked and sent back. Truffle fondue came out spilled all over the risotto. Risotto needed seasoning. I have gone here many times before they closed and the food was always excellent. Very disappointed this time. Restaurant was not busy at the time. Shrimp cocktail was good.

WE ENJOYED THE AMBIANCE. OUR WAIT STSFF WAS PLEASANT, KNOWLADGABLE AND EFFICIENT. WE HAVE BEEN FANS OF YOUR RESTAURANT FOR SOME TIMES. THE FOOD IS NOT RUN OF THE MILL ENTRIES. DIFFERENT WELL PRESENTED, AND DELICOUS. WE HAVE LIVED IN THREE COUNTRIES AND BENEFITED BY THEIR LOCAL COUSINES AND RECIPES. PORTICO IS ONE OF OUR FAVORITES AND WAS MISS DURING COVID SHUT DOWNS

We were so happy to see you open again! It is always a great experience from the start to the finish. We were greeted with a smile, our server was attentive and the floor supervisor was wonderful! I was in the restaurant business for 22 years and I watch everything going on around me when we do dine out. If I did still work in that field I would of liked to poach the staff.
