Excellent food and even better service! My fiance and I were celebrating multiple life events and the staff made sure our evening was special!
Both my husband and I had a steak dinner. We both felt that the steak was the best we have had in a very long time.
Group of 4. We ordered Apps Octopus, caprese salad, pork belly. Main veal chop. Lamb porterhouse, filet, sirloin with sides of Brussel sprouts and cauliflower. We really didn't need both sides; as there was a lot of food per portion. The food was amazing, staff was amazing.
Excellent food, manager came to table and asked how everything was, very classy. Food was prepared perfectly and was high quality. Some noise from casino floor but not to bad.
Inside del Lago Casino is a an upscale retreat from the noisy slot machines. The wine list is amazing and the food was outstanding. We had a bottle of rose champagne of high quality and excellent taste, but not the price to match. Service was excellent. The waitress was friendly and nice, but didn't hover. She just seemed to be there when we needed her. I'd definitely dine at Portico again, given an opportunity, although I am not a fan of casinos.
Food was good to very good. The risotto lobster appetizer was excellent. The service by Kristine was excellent. The Veal Milanese was OK to good. It seemed like it was deep fried rather than cooked in a skillet. It had a heavy oil taste and it was not very tender. The sticky potatoes & pecorino was great. Food and service were outstanding!! My only complaint was NOT knowing that the tip was included. As a result, I paid the tip twice. Although I did straighten it out with my server after the fact, I would have appreciated her stepping forward to point it out to me instead of accepting both outright. She was a GREAT waitress but would like to have seen more integrity in that particular situation.
Everything was exceptional. I do however wander why we were told to go to the bar and get our coffee to have with our brunch. Also the lobster tails were a little difficult to get the meat away from the shell. But overall nice variety of seafood and dessert table. Also the waffle bar with different toppings was a nice touch also. I would definitely return again for a special occasion and recommend Portico for their Sunday Brunch.
