Excellent! Outstanding food and great service. Very beautifully decorated.
Good experience
The server was polite and attentive. The food was just okay this time. Shrimp was very overcooked and rubbery. The took it off of the bill without a problem. The broccoli rabe was too lemony and the creamed spinach was just okay.
Experience was great overall. I recommend this place.
Great space and well worth the 45-minute drive for an elevated departure from the what is a somewhat monotonous Rochester culinary scene. Staff was mostly very professional, though our server could have been slightly more polished and knowledgable (he was very friendly and attentive however). Food was all very flavorful, and while nothing was life-changingly exceptional or innovative, it was definitely reasonably priced and quite good. Date night with hubby during happy hour. Great food, great service, great ambiance, great price! 😊
Decent selection. I had lam chops and they were cooked perfectly. Veal chop also very good, Chicken Piccata was nicely done but way too salty (maybe prep chef does not know that capers are usually packed in brine!), creamed spinach could have been, in my opinion, rated as superb, BUT once again way to salty, Broccolini; too salty. I would try Portico again but would tell server NO SALT ON ANYTHING> Salt, if needed, can be added at the table!
Menu selection was very good. We had the Rigatoni Carbonara as an Appetizer with the grilled Octopus ! It was Excellent. My friend ordered the Bone-In Veal Milanese ! Never seen anything like it before .A little expensive but fantastic! I ordered the Branzino which was small in the portion size for $25 but tasty.
We celebrated our 10th anniversary in the Finger Lakes and had a wonderful dinner at Portico our first night. The restaurant is located right in the casino of the De Lago Casino, but the noise didn't travel into the dining area. It was quiet and romantic with just the right amount of light. Some of the decorations seemed a bit out of place, but it was clean and upscale in appearance.
