We very enjoyed the Sunday Brunch buffet. There were many upscale choices such as shrimp, clams, cold water lobster, oyster, charcuterie and eggs benedict. There was a dessert room filled with many delicious choices. Everything was very tasty. There was live music to add to the elegant atmosphere. The manager, hostess and our server were all very friendly and treated us like they were glad we were there. Great evening, when we got the bill and found we were charged $1 for ice cubes in our $16 manhattans we were a bit appalled. Server was sweet and food was very good, but really? Charging for ice?
Have been going to Portico since it opened. Love it.
The food and service are always excellent. There was a slight issue with a wine list selection. I ordered a bottle off the $20 wine list , but the server came back to the table and said that the bottle was also on the regular list at $36 and did I still want it at the higher price! I asked to see the manager. The server returned about 10 minutes later and said I could have the bottle at the lower price. Great service and wonderful dinner. The veal chop was to “die for”.
My wife and I dined here for our wedding anniversary. We were greeted professionally and were immediately wished a Happy Anniversary by the hostess. Seated within 10 minutes (we were 15 minutes early for our reservation). We got a drink at the bar. Bartender was knowledgeable about his scotches and made recommendations for my drink. my only disappointment is that my favorite foods were taken off the menu .... however , everything is absolutely delicious ...
