Storage unit fee increase and insurance fees I have not been satisfied since Prime Storage took over ownership of Mr. D's Self Storage. My storage unit fee increased and I now have to pay an insurance fee. I do not have very valuable items in my storage unit. A nasty manager (do not know her name) called me last summer and told me that my payment was late. Price went way up. Moving out soon Mouse droppings all over my stuff. Price has gone up significantly. Not worth it
Bohemia The place is always a mess. Security gates usually do not work. Section of the fencing is miss so anyone can get in. Landscapers blow the driveways into the units causing leaves and dirt inside the units
I wouldnât recommend prime storage to anyone Since prime has taken over Mr.DâS my rent has gone up three times, Iâm forced to pay your insurance, snow removal sucks and you took away our use of a dumpster
Wouldn't recommend When I secured my unit I was told I would have electricity in the unit and it would be cleaned before move in. It was filthy, and still no electricity in the unit (a year and a half that I've used it). Rates have been raised twice, the entry gate is always left open because it's not working (even after a brand new one has been installed), and you can type any 4 digits and gain access to the facility. I would definitely not recommend this facility to anyone.
I don't want to pay for insurance and I don't need insurance I do not want to pay extra for insurance ! We only keep sheet metal and some flex in there and I don't need to insure it.
Overpriced slow to deal with anything and poor security After it snows it often takes days till I can get to my unit. Additionally since it snowed weeks ago there has been a gate wide open. How come my rates went up by over $100 per month and the security got worse?
Garage door doesnât keep dirt out Too expensive and forcing insurance is annoying . I pay less for a whole year of renters insurance .
Horrible customer service at this location. Very nasty I wouldnât recommend! Based on customer service onsite. I called with an inquiry and the male I spoke with (I believe his name started with an E, he wouldnât give his full name or employer Iâd info to call the district manager) he was very nasty refused to give an email or another way to contact anyone but him. I was supposed to get a return call within 48hours. That never happened, that was over 2 weeks ago.
