Seems like they're taking on more patients than they can actually handle. Lobby was always busy, the front desk and techs seemed stressed and overloaded. I've tried to call about 8 times today and can't get through to ask the vet a question. During my cat's stay after a medical emergency, the vets were knowledgeable and seemed very caring, so I don't have anything bad to say about the medical aspects of their care. They helped heal up my cat but completely neglected to care for his grooming needs (anyone with common sense s... read more
I have used Pruyn’s since my parents took our wire Fox terrier to wonderful Dr. Earl Pruyn, when I was a child. Being a typical naughty terrier, she charged a very large dog, which promptly grabbed her on her back, shook her, and than dropped her. Dr. Earl didn’t think she would make it, but did his usual talented work. 72 stitches and a few days later, we were able to take our beloved Cindy dog home. Now, 55 years later, I’m still trusting them. Minot was always so kind, ethical, and wise. I would trust my life and my... read more
I was given a very serious degenerative neurological diagnosis for my dog that would have lead to his paralysis eventually. The vet gave me this diagnosis and then tried to leave the room without letting me ask any questions. I sought a second opinion and it turns out the diagnosis was incorrect, my dog has a torn ACL. My vet at Pruyn was clearly over booked and didn’t take the time to properly assess the situation. She gave me a horrible diagnosis that wasn’t even true and then tried to bolt on her way. I will NEVER return ... read more
Not disclosing a wellness exam was required in order to give my dogs a rabies shot to keep their licenses current cost an extra $49.00 per dog!
Charged for a "Wellness Exam" when all I asked for was a rabies shot for my two dogs today. The "Wellness Exam" I guess was weighing them (I did it) and the Vet looking at top teeth on only one side. The cost should have been $30 for the two injections. We were charged $118.00! I want the $88.00 refunded. NOW!!
I took my cat there after him having awful diarrhea for days straight. I brought in a stool sample for them to check as well upon his exam. They refused to take the sample and suggested trying the medication out first (mind you the medication for two weeks was $110!) tried it and it didn't do a thing for him. Brought him back and stated that I wanted a stool sample done during his exam to rule out any diseases and they wouldn't even offer to do that for me after I just spent $110 for medication that didn't do anything for hi... read more
Worst experience of an under staffed over booked clinic. There for almost 3 hours got nothing accomplished and walked out. Bad first impression for a client that will not return.
My cat broke his leg. I was thankful Pryun was open later to deal with it. This was obviously an unexpected expense. After the X-ray I asked about the cost and payment options. I was quoted a price which seemed low so I asked if it was for everything. I was told yes. I called about pickup and the bill and I was told it was about $150.00 more than I was quoted, I asked why. I also asked about payment options. They couldn't help me with either and said someone would call me back. The call back was them telling me th... read more
