Why so complicated? I want a simple label maker. Thought this was it. Don't know about you, but I long for more straight-forward devices. When Brother first introduced these label makers they were simple: size, style, on/off. Today's label makers are much more complicated and force you to go through several steps where in the past it was one. Also, the "low battery" light comes on with brand new Duracell batteries. I'm returning this label maker.

Eats batteries with every label The maker works OK, but I put a brand new set of batteries in it and it prints one label and displays Low Battery. I'm not spending $3 per label on batteries. It would be OK if there was an DC power port so you could plug in an adapter, but they don't have that either. Unless you own stock in the battery companies, don't buy this.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM..... ... DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM.....the battery life lasted less than 2 minutes, I put brand new batteries in tried to print a label with literally 2 words and the battery died immediately. I replaced the battery and now it won't even stay on. Unfortunately for me it's past the return date....appx. $30 down the drain.

Sales blurb doesn't mention no tape comes with it. Can't test drive my new toy. Although there are more instructions than you can shake a stick at, NO tape was included. Okay, fine, but I wish the description on Amazon had specifically mentioned this, so I could buy some WITH the label maker. Will comment further after I actually can use the thing.

Buy extra batteries Does it's job as a label maker.. but is a huge battery hog.. I've put in brand new batteries, and after the first label (10 characters) I'm getting a battery low indication..

Get out your magnifying glass This is a fine product but the instructions are tiny and confusing and I cannot get it to do what I want. Better, larger, more clear instructions would be helpful.

I am not happy. This thing prints labels ok but it eats batteries. I have only gotten about four labels and I've had to replace batteries twice. I just don't understand. At first I thought I left it on, then I was sure to turn it off and it did the same thing. I am not happy.

Skip this "TOTAL GARBAGE" Totally worthless! Would give it -5 stars if I could. Do not waste your time and money on this product! I opened the box, followed the instructions.Installed new batteries. It did not complete printing the first label and displayed low battery. Replaced the batteries with new. Same results. Low battery indicator. First thought just a false indication but it also would not scroll the tape while printing. Junk! As I had to drop off at UPS to return, more wasted time..

Bought this new label maker and within a couple of ... Bought this new label maker and within a couple of uses I got a display that says Low Battery. I changed battery and still shows Low Battery. It also turns off because of Low Battery indicator. This is the 2nd Brother P-touch Handy Label Maker I've bought and they have both done the same thing.
