Can't remove label backing My old Brother labeler is wonderful but I can't find replacement tape so purchased this one. The mechanism to remove the label backing just doesn't work for me. I've tried every way I can think of but end up struggling with a straight pin to separate the label from the backing. Life's too short-gotta find a different one, but hope to stay with a Brother product

Have to agree with all the negative reviews: this ... Have to agree with all the negative reviews: this monster is a battery black hole. No sooner do you stuff it with a fresh set - and not a small set at that - then it complains it needs another round. I bought this for work and got into the habit of turning it off immediately after each label to avoid the dreaded (and inevitable) "low battery" warning. When it occasionally had enough power to print the label tape would stick and jam. Not a label maker so much as an exercis... read more

One of the most useful tools to add to your workspace. Old review; five stars. I said: One of the most useful tools to add to your workspace. Cheap, reliable, easy to use! New review: Utter rubbish. As many others on here have complained, it is ALWAYS low on batteries. I finally concluded (after reading other reviews here) that rechargeable batteries are not an option. That sucks. So I put in brand new Duracells. Guess what? LOW BATTERY. C'mon!!!!!

Do not waste your time. Really disappointed that I wasted my time with this cheaper model, should have read the reviews closer. New batteries stop working after every 2 labels. Clearly this type of machine isn’t meant to be battery operated and it should come with a power adapter.

If you just want a simple label maker, this ... If you just want a simple label maker, this is not it. If you want to put symbols and little pictures on your labels, and you have lots of time to figure out how this thing works, then go for it. This is NOT for work.

Not good at all Instructions were not very clear and there is really a lot to this. It was showing low battery after only a few minutes of use with brand new batteries. Font adjustment didn't work at all - printing was tiny at every size setting. I had it packed up to return within hours of receiving it.
