Very difficult to use. Always gives errors. Prints one label, then says the next one is out of paper or wrong paper type. I'm sorry I bought it.
Had to return it I received a unit that was defective. I needed it to be used with Bluetooth, but the connection was unstable and kept dropping.
Does not work. A waste of money This machine is terrible. It has never worked consistently. It loses sync with my devices and customer service is awlful. Find another company to get a label printer from.
"typo" This printer does not work with DK-1209 labels (small labels). Brother refers to this issue as a 'typo' although DK-1209 is promoted on their website and promoted on the packaging of labels. Their motto "brother at your side' is maybe also a typo?
Great hardware, really horrible driver software I rarely write reviews, but after the hours of frustration due to their poor software design on this I figured it warranted a review. The issue is the printer auto-detects what type of paper you are using, and gives an error if the slightest thing doesn't match and doesn't let you print. The error messages are obscure and hard to decipher. For example, if you see "wrong roll type" it means you have paper that Brother has detected is for 2-color process. Poorly thought out through and through. They make you put in your serial number to get the drivers. The Bluetooth was super buggy, the WiFi is ridiculously hard to set up, after hours of getting it set up, it wouldn’t let me print unless I manually inputted all the right settings (paper size, color) and even that was hit and miss. 2 hours to print 2 labels!

It's so awful to hear you've experienced these difficulties with the QL-820NWB Label printer; I can certainly imagine how frustrating this must have been. I'm so sadden that you've had a less than seamless experience through this and I assure you this is not at all what we strive for with our customers. It's very unfortunate you've had to spend what sounds like a tremendous amount of time and effort on reaching a resolution with this. In regards to entering in the serial number for the driver, this is used in order to ensure... read more
Inflexible piece of crap The printer senses what type of label is loaded. If you try to print on another paper size the printer locks into error. So if the printer knows 1.1x3.5" labels are loaded, and you try to print a size of 1.1x3.0" you get an error message and you have to physically go over to the printer and reset it. So if you thought you purchased continuous-length labels so you could cut them according to the paper size YOU set, you are plain wrong! It is the size the printer decides it is, and nothing else.
