Lack of transparency in billing is uncalled for. Received a notice on Monday from our vet that our dog's prescription was ready for pickup, was there within the hour. Arrive home and come to find the exact medicine was 50% cheaper elsewhere (identical brand, dosage, pills etc). Called to complain/ask for a credit back to our card or clearly to return the medicine outright and was told a refund couldn't be provided once leaving the vet, even if unopened. Would see about having someone call for consideration, no follow-up ever... read more

Business response:

Apologies for any inconvenience caused by the pricing discrepancy. Your input is valuable to us.

My 7 month old black Labrador was a patient. While on vacation my dog sitter called about bleeding. Pet sitter was told she was in her first heat. Puppy died a few days later. She should have been seen. It was rat poison. This has been devastating to go through. I’ve since been told it’s rare for a lab as young as 7 months to go into heat.

Business response:

We apologize for any inconvenience and are deeply saddened to hear about the loss of your beloved Labrador. We reached out not long after the event to express our sympathies, have further investigated this matter, and reached out by e-mail to share what we learned.

Quail Corners seems to have competent veterinarians but the way they speak and interact with their patients is why I would never use or advise anyone else to use them. While their website comes off as caring and inviting, actually speaking and meeting their staff is an entirely different story. Let me start by saying I know how hectic their jobs are and they are slammed with patients daily and do their best to handle the volume. I do not fault them for this that being said, if you are "curbside" you are not welcome in their... read more

Business response:

Hi Sarah Blair Bouse, we are sorry to hear you were not satisfied with your pet's visit. We aim to provide the highest quality of care to your furry friend and are saddened that you felt otherwise. Someone from our team will be contacting you shortly.

Awful. We brought our pup in overnight because he broke his leg. They gave him medicine and refused to give him surgery for 2 WEEKS! we then asked them to transfer his medical records. Our pup was older and was small- the break was so bad it needed surgery- immediately. We went to another hospital and quail corners took hours to transfer the records over because the “doctor was eating her DoorDash.” They treat pets like pets, not like family. They had no empathy, and charged us $700 to literally LOOK at his leg. No fixing it... read more

Business response:

I am sorry to hear about your experience, Caitlin. Unfortunately, I am not able to locate a patient matching the description to try to explore what happened in further detail. If you would like to discuss this matter further, please call the office at 919-876-0739. Thank you.

We recently changed to Quail Corners and unfortunately will have to keep looking. Remaining with this vet is not going to be sustainable. They are by far the most expensive we've ever seen. We have 7 animals and so far they've only met 2 which totaled almost $2,000. I've done bill comparisons for the same/similar service between them and our previous vet. Previous vet charges $15 for 3 pack Onsior and Quail Corners charges $28. Our previous vet had 2 anesthesia charges for dental whereas Quail Corners has 4. A cleaning and 2... read more

Business response:

We appreciate your feedback and take it very seriously. In terms of pricing, we attempt to be transparent at every opportunity by providing treatment plans ahead of services rendered so that any concerns about cost can be handled ahead of time. That said, our office will reach out to you direction within the next 24-48 hours to further address your concerns.

I have been a customer here for over 15 years. In the beginning everything was great. We used Dr Davis who was wonderful always! She moved to the coast a few years ago and alot of the staff that were so good all these years left also. we have spent thousands and thousands of dollars here over the years and also had our German shepard and two cats put to sleep over the years. This Monday one of my older cats had reached the point of not being able to walk or function properly. This was breaking our hearts and we obviously did... read more

Business response:

We are sad to hear of this experience, Mike. This is uncharacteristic of our office. In attempts to investigate what happened, we did some research on our phone systems. In doing so, we realized we do not have record of a call from either phone number on your account from this week. Further, we have a dedicated veterinarian available every day this week to see cases with immediate need, such as your cat. We are truly distressed to learn of this and would be more than happy to discuss this further, should you like to cal... read more

I took my pittie in tonight. She has copd and her cough was way worse than normal. They got her in quickly, kept me in the loop, and let me be involved in her care since I know her normal. They were also a lot cheaper than vet specialty and NC state. This is the first time Belle’s respiratory status has scared me badly enough where I thought I needed to take her somewhere at night rather than her regular vet in the morning. If that ever happens again, I’ll absolutely bring her back to this place!

Business response:

Thank you for taking the time to leave this review, Angel! We hope you and Belle are doing well, please give her some love from us :)
