RecommendedOur 9 month old labradoodle Gus spent June here and it was the best decision we ever made. Before, he would take and chew shoes, remotes, food and whatever he could grab. The first day home he took a shoe, we corrected him and he hasn't taken anything that isn't his since. He's awesome and so much fun to have around. We can't say enough good things about Mark and Irina. Gus had some bumps during training but they worked with him and corrected him so now he LISTENS. Thank you from all of us.
RecommendedWe brought our 9 month old German Shepherd, Lexi, to Red Star Kennel in May 2017. She was hyper, anxious and behaving badly. She would dig holes, bite us, and would not listen to us at all. We were concerned if we didn't get control of her, she would continue to exhibit bad behavior. This review is long overdue, but six months later, I am as enthusiastic about Red Star as I was when my dog's Boot Camp was completed. I dropped off my unruly, completely undisciplined 1-year old puppy who had developed some bad habits, and when I picked him up four weeks later, he was calm, obedient, and a pleasure to be around. RecommendedRed Star saved my dog's life! Literally. He has struggled with aggression issues/resource guarding, and (after a horrible bite), Red Star worked their magic over his month stay. They are disciplined and compassionate in their approach and that's the dog we got in return! He listens and is redirected quickly when he doesn't. I can't recommend more highly. We refuse to board him anywhere else as well. :)
