Incredibly high price and when my dad had 3 windows fail within 5 years they were impossible to deal with. On the phone for hours and they couldn’t figure out what windows they were even after reading and taking pictures of every number and letter on the glass. The quote I got for 4 windows and a slider started at $20k, then $18k, then $16k was final price. They are all about getting your money and then no follow through. They collected $30,000 from us the end of June first part of July and it is nearly November and the windows are still not done! We are talking about 4 windows not a huge project! They made mistakes which delayed this project. Which I can forgive, we are all human. But I have made phone call after phone call to multiple people and not once has any one called back to communicate the status of our project. Had Anderson install Windows. Love the windows, guys were nice. However I have had a few issues. Had someone come by to discuss the issues. Been 2 months & no word from a manager.
I’ve opted out of the email crap at least a dozen times and I STILL keep getting spam from them. Because of this alone I would NEVER give them business. I’d rather put up plywood over a window than have them do something for free!! STOP SENDING ME EMAIL!!
Margie Lord Herring had this to say on Facebook. “I paid a fortune for Andersen Windows for my entire house this spring including the garage. I could easily have gotten windows from Lowe’s or Home Depot for half the price but I love the windows themselves. It’s been several months and they have still not come back to finish trimming them properly and making them look like the expensive windows they are. Didn’t clean up broken glass slivers; originally weren’t going to repair broken plaster around windows (I had to push for that); lots of plastic waste for a company that claims sustainable practices... not convinced they’re worth the very high price.
I was shocked to see how small the window was in our new Bay window. I thought the windows would be the same size as the old windows. The new windows are 30% smaller will a lot of trim around them. The guys who did the install did a fantastic job but the windows that make up the Bay window… a complete disappointment.
I spoke to "Dan" or "Don", he let me know that they have a 3 window minimum. I only requested for 2 and possibly a door. The guy in charge told me that "he would be wasting his employees time, because it sounded like, I wasn't going to get a door!" Guess what, I am getting a new door as well. What a joke! We supposedly had appt today, to measure and possibly replace 2 windows. Had call and voice mail this morning saying they needed more information. I had to call several times to finally get a very rude representative that actually hung up on me. I have no idea if someone is going to actually show up or not.
