I am separated but still legally married and I disclosed that information in my first email inquiring about the loan process. When I asked Laura about the documents that my ex had to sign, she had no idea about my situation. There was a lack of communication. Mind you, this was days before closing, and I didn't appreciate being made to feel like a liar when I had already disclosed this info. Closing documents were not prepared correctly because of this error which caused a lengthy closing.
