While I know that the agent was working diligently, I feel that it did take quite sometime and I know from other co-workers, the time frame for trouble shooting is a minimum of 20 minutes - no matter the situation. The agent was professional, understanding, and fantastic overall. more »

Rock Solid VoIP with great features, but on the expensive side
Pros: Never had any downtime with RingCentral, which is a big deal to compensate for the fact that we all work remotely. It's
important to feel that we can JUST call.
We had the occasional weird softrware incompatibility issues withe some USB headsets with the Softphones, but besides that, it felt like it just worked.
We have always been able to set up any menu tree, any re-routing option, any special hours of operation we wanted to, in order to suit our occasional business quirks.
They have also been quite flexible with our contract, with the occasional downgrade, even when they did not have to.
RingCentral also helps us comply with HIPAA standard, which allows us to have health-realted video calls with our clients on a secure platform. The video calls are really quite good, with little to no lag. RingCentral Meetings seems to be another one of their services that seems to just work.
The admin portal seems to get better and better, and easier and easier to use. Even though it has a very extensive list of features and options, we seem to be able to manage each individual line ourselves almost all the time and do everything we need to without calling tech support for help.
Cons: The only cons I can think of are the price (although not as high as 8x8) and the occasional (quite rare, really) long wait time to call support.
It can feel a bit overwhelming at first because of all the options and features, but once the initial setup is done, it should be fine.
Overall: It's really quite something to have a portable phone system that you can use on any device that can access the internet.

I had to call as I was receiving an error message from your online system. Would have been great if that didn't happen. However once I called and spoke to Joey issue was resolved promptly. Thank you! more »

The customer support reps tried tried fix the problem with a phone I had recently received and were very courteous. I know they tried their best, however I had to spend a total of over 2 1/2 hours on the phone with them only to have the phone replaced. Edgar, who was the last rep I spoke with, did his best to fix the issues and took care of getting me a new phone and sending me an RMA for the return of the non-working phone. He followed up this morning to make sure the new phone worked properly, help me complete the installation of the new phone and to make sure I received the RMA. Overall the staff were professional and courteous. more »

Our conference Polycom 5000 needed configured and switched from previous provider. It would have been nice to have this done at the time of switch over but I didn't realize I had to manually handle this. It was part of the details of our original order. The customer service rep was very helpful and even called me back at a later time to make the configuration for both phones. more »

RingCentral is a great phone service for a small or even a large business.
What do you like best?
I like how easy it is to add users and to check voicemail. I really like the caller ID fea
ture. I know when to answer. It allows myself and our agents to be mobile and go from place to place without missing a single call. As the administrator, I love how easy it is to add new users and to be able to call them from the office by simply entering their extension from the office phone. RingCentral give my business a more professional presentation to our clients. When they call us, we appear to be a much larger company than we actually are. Like most businesses, it starts with the presentation. This system has more features than I have time to explain.
What do you dislike?
Like any service, I wish it were not so costly, but I also realize that you get what you pay for. I did have a difficult time in the beginning with the service, because I was trying to use our office phone through our computer. I soon realized that it worked much better hard wired to the Ethernet in the wall. I was very frustrated in the beginning, because I felt like I was paying full price without getting the full service.
Recommendations to others considering the product
It is worth trying. If I can understand how to operate the program, anyone can! The systems are very professional and easy to use.
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
I can be anywhere and still receive calls as if I am at the office. I also know when the incoming call is from my business line and gives me the benefit of knowing how to answer the call. I like the ability to program the phone to do what you want it to. There are a lot of settings that give you the freedom to set up your business phone system the way it works best for your company. I would definitely recommend RingCentral to my friends who own their own business and need a reliable, professional, manageable, and economical phone system for their office.

Absolutely great customer service in a timely manner. This was the second call today due to the first rep not helping and having me on hold for quiet some time. I finally just was able to get into the account myself and ended the call.
