We were unfortunate to draw a table a table where the prior guests just sat and sat and sat. While mgt. ultimately took steps to move them out, the 25 minute delay took the air out the excitement of visiting this restaurant for the first time. Our service person was excellent however and we got on pace shortly after being seated. Great in all respects but surprisingly noisy and chilly at first. Waitress had ceiling fans turned off for us upon our request. Pork chop dish, for which I always go to this restaurant, was as always positively delicious. Noise continued.
A night out for my wife and me was made far more special by our dining experience at the Ristorante. The food was, as usual, outstanding. The service exceptional. The restaurant was bustling, but not noisy or overcrowded - a very romantic and warm ambiance. Truly a "neighborhood gem" in Tosa.
This was my first time at Ristorante Bartolotta. The food was great and it was a perfect spot to celebrate a special occasion - cool restaurant. The draw backs were that the chairs were small and extremely uncomfortable and despite having an early reservation (5:30), the restaurant seemed very loud so difficult to hear conversation.
We had excellent entrees and a wonderful bottle of wine. Our server was very knowledgeable and engaging.
The waiter was great, but his table assistant was marginal at best. She was un-attentive and we had to get up from the table and ask for basic requests several times throughout the evening— things like butter and bread. Truly her disinterest in our table of six was the biggest issue. This was our second visit to Ristorante Bartolotta and there is no doubt, their Pappardelle al Ragu d' Anata is the best dis we have had in any restaurant ever. The restaurant is a pleasure to visit with knowledgeable staff to help you pair the perfect wine with each course. Definitely a restaurant that should be on your list of "must visit" fine dining establishments.
Portions way too small for the price. Might have to stop at a fast food spot on the way home to be full. Great service, good atmosphere.
We had a very nice Labor Day evening dinner. Great carpaccio, great processco, wonderful filet mignon and salmon. Great time, great atmosphere, great evening. Nice job Bartolottas.
