The wait staff, while generally very pleasant have evidently been trained to us certain Phrases to ask you how your 'experience' is.. I found these to be very uncomfortable. These were 'canned' phrases and since I think the staff was uncomfortable having to ask them, resulted in a very non-sincere feeling for us. Also, my favorite dish, that I ALWAYS order and sometimes take an order home, the Parpadelle Duck, was salty. only two times out of 20 I have had this dish has it been salty to the taste. Took our new to Milwaukee living relatives and they loved their first Bartolatta experience. We were proud to show off our Wauwatosa treasure! Welcomed warmly, great food and excellent service.!
This restaurant is a great spot for a special occasion or romantic dinner. The staff was very knowledgeable and suggested an amazing wine. I would definitely recommend this place to friends / family.

Loved the food. I had spaghetti with lobster, my husband loved the seafood plate. We've never been to Milwaukee before and are very glad to have found this restaurant.
One of our favorite places to dine anywhere in the Milwaukee area (Of the Bartolatta restaurants, this one is only surpassed by the Lake Park Bistro as our favorite). Excellent food in an intimate, but casual atmosphere. Love the 'in-season' specials (especially the fall truffle special) and the attention to detail in all aspects. Highly recommended!
Whenever I am in Milwaukee, dinner at Ristorante Bartolotta is a must! The food is great, wait staff is knowledgeable and attentive, and it is just an all around good experience. This time, we had the prix fixe 4 course dinner. The soft shell crab and salad were a great start. I could have been perfectly happy stopping after the second course of potato and morel ravioli with ramp pesto. Delicious! I went to Bartollotta because I had heard that the food was worth the price and I was not disappointed with neither the food nor the service. I ordered the pork and I am somewhat of a pork snob, but I thoroughly enjoyed the pork and the sauce they used. Kudos to the cook! I also had an excellent host and server at Bartollotta and they were able to keep up with all the jokes, ribbing, and good, clean kidding my date put them through.
