Royal Oaks Mrylte Beach Great place to stay. Clean and in good shape. Very roomy and quiet. The only drawback is no internet access. If they get internet next year, I'll stay again. Otherwise, I'll look for a different place.
Great surprise! As we were driving down River Oaks Drive, the surrounding communities looked fantastic! We were sure that since our stay was so cheap, our condo complex would be the one to stand out as the run down place...IT WAS NOT! Our complex was perfect and the unit was spectacular! Very cozy, clean, new, and extremely relaxing with a great view of the golf course. Could not have asked for anything better. A plus was that we could park right in front of the building every time! No complaints what so ever!
It was ok Spent most of our time at the beach which wasnt far from the condo. River Oaks is a decent place to stay at, really needs some major upgrades. I'd have to say the worst part was it says it comes with a washer and dryer. Well we had to dry each set of clothes 3 or 4 times and they were still damp. Myrtle Beach is a great place to go but next time I will find another place to stay. It has been awhile since they have done any renovations to those condos.
Home away from homw If you're heading to Myrtle Beach for the weekend a hotel might be a better idea, but if you plan to stay for a while (we were there a week) and don't want to spend all of your money eating out, the River Oaks Resort is a great choice. We rented a condo that was owned by someone as their vacation home. Nice Condo Condo was nice to stay in, very comfortable (except couch which was awful). Quick 7-8 min drive to beach, nice to be out of the hustle and bustle of downtown MB. Indoor pool was closed during entire stay which was disappointing. Outdoor pool was nice, but seemed a little on the small side.
Weekend stay nice gated community right on the intercoastal. stayed in unit 26G, top floor with a view of the water, had a dock with cabana, 2 pools, tennis. Would stay there again, even thought about purchasing a unit
"Great Weekend" Great place!! The room was very, very clean! The hole place looked outstanding! Staff was friendly. Will stay again.
