Ms. Glenda from the kitchen at River Oaks deserves a big shout-out! I really got to know her and really wish I would have let her know just how much I appreciated her and everything she did for me when I was there. Getting sober and dealing with my mental conditions were a constant battle for me. I didn't know how I would ever be able to deal with and manage it all without self-medicating. I was a client at River Oaks for a little over 2 months. I could never put into words just exactly how grateful I was to find this place. Nurse Olga is the nurse who I related to and with, more than any other medical staff member. She was so easy to talk to, she was quick and efficient. Karah was my Therapist when I was transferred to River Oaks, and she was AMAZING! I was such a handful when I got there, but she saw right through my "front" and called me out about it too. "Speed" is the most efficient and compassionate staff member River Oaks Treatment Center could ever have. She was the one I would always go to first. During my time at River Oaks Treatment Center, I had the best experience with the Treatment Advocate Ray! Everyone calls her "little Ray". She was such an inspiration to me as well as other clients. She took the time to get to know us, she even wrote little motivational quotes on sticky notes and either put them on our beds or on our room doors! That made my day start way better. Treatment Advocate Frank is a man of his word, and goes above and beyond, he is quick to help anyone. When I arrived at River Oaks I didnt know what to expect.
