This is my first time in a treatment center, and hopefully my last. If you are anything like I was, and your life depends on it, then this is the place to come. It has not been easy, but the staff, doctors, and techs have made the process easier on me. Christina has been a Blessing to me through groups and sessions. I have taken more notes with her than I ever did in school! This treatment center has been a life changer for me!

Amy is a conscientious and compassionate counselor. As a teacher, Amy keeps control of the room and makes classes interesting. When I brought up triggers in a private conversation with her she taught the subject in our next class which helped me gain coping mechanisms to deal with my triggers. Her classes have been so helpful to my recovery. She teaches in a way that captivates attention nicely. Working through detox and all my groups has taught me not to give up, things do get better! Ray is an inspiring young lady who takes her job seriously and at the same time will sing right along with us and remind me that I can still have fun in my sobriety. She has shared her experience with me and gave me faith that the program and groups really do work as long as I apply myself. She has made sure I was comfortable in my room with my roommate before she left to make her rounds to check in on other clients. Glenda is a woman who knows how to satisfy any appetite! She is full of charisma and handles animosity very well. She is very clean and wears a smile while serving healthy and fulfilling meals. Glenda is compassionate and truly cares for our needs. When I had an allergic reaction she was quick to respond and knew how to act upon it.

Thomas is Exceptional! He does not hesitate to lend a helping hand to anyone. He has offered his experience, strengths and hope to help me in times that I struggled. He is an extraordinary hard worker that puts his heart and soul into the job, and takes pride in doing so. When I didn't have towels in my room he was quick to replace them for me! He always has a smile on his face which in turn made me smile as well!

I love the staff here, they have all been very personable and understanding to my needs, especially when I was going through detox. I've actually made a ton of friends here and the community and other clients have been extremely welcoming. My favorite part of my day is lunch when I get to see Mrs. Diana who always has jokes and sometimes like to play music in the kitchen for us to jam out. Dre is compassionate about not only his coworkers, but the clients as well. He is Humble and truly cares for our wellbeing. Dre exhibits professionalism in all his interactions. I have had nothing but positive interactions from all the medical staff. River Oaks has my recommendation hands down.

Olga is a nurse who is attentive and efficient when administering medications When interacting with clients Olga is familiar with us, compassionate to our needs, and has a sweet temperament. When my blood pressure was unreasonably high, Olga checked my blood pressure multiple times throughout the night without disturbing my sleep or my roommate.

Therapist Bethany is really good at explaining things on a peer level that's easy to understand. She talks a lot about coping skills that can help me when I go home. Yesterday she had some really fun activities where we went outside to do group which was nice to get out and switch up the monotony. I really appreciate the groups here because they have helped me learn so much about my recovery and how to maintain it when I go home.
