Ever since the wonderful and caring Dr. Green (Greene?) left the practice about three years ago, this clinic has been going downhill. But it was only recently, after Riverside merged with another group, that we have become unhappy enough to take our dog and business elsewhere. I can hear and understand the client's complaints. But it's not that WE have increased our testing.... but veterinary medicine in the USA is now more serious than it was twenty five years ago when I began practicing. Yes, we do more lab tests, but that's because they're necessary, and we get a lot of needed information from them. So whereas we might do an "unnecessary" culture of skin lesion, that becomes a whole 'nother thing when the culture comes back as a MRSA infection that's contagious to people. If i could rate this vet no stars I would. They are very heavy on lots of tests and jump to the most dire of straits of the situation. During the months of March, April and May and was scheduled for many tests for my 10 year old Yorkie. All visit required full blood work and urine panels-every visit cost me over $300.00. Since the vet was running a Senior Special - I was told my dog had "rotten teeth" and needed many tests, which was ridiculous since the previous visit in September told me her teeth were great.
