I take the subway to work with my small (15lbs) poodle mix. Early this spring when it was still slushy as we walked the block to my job my dog was limping. I checked his paws and found nothing as the limping persisted I went to Riverside Veterinary Group and was delighted with the quick compassionate service. I love this practice! they always remind me when I have appointments, they help me if I can't stay with my pet if I have to pick up the kids. They discuss your pets care with you . They call you and ask how your pet is after you had a visit. They never charge unless its discussed and if you can't afford everything they do the test you can afford. I find them terrific and caring and understanding.

I have been taking my three west highland terriers for a few years now. We have always have had great service. The ladies in the front for the most part are amazing. I was very surprised when they remembered all three of my westies and when asked how they were doing with their allergies. Recently one of my westies got sick while Riverside was closed. I went to Riverside with my mother last year when her cat started acting strange and getting sick. The staff was polite and kind, and Dr. Freedman was absolutely wonderful. He was calm and reassuring and answered every question mom had for him graciously and patiently. The pricing was reasonable, and the cat is quite happy and healthy despite being an old lady. These folks have been my vets on and off, depending when I was in the city, for many years. Recently I was not in NY but had an emergency with my IG. She was hospitalized and very sick. After all the test and change in diet etc. I felt I needed a second opinion so I had all of her records faxed to Riverside. My Doctor of many years Dr. Freedman was on medical leave but that did not stop them. I love these guys. Always welcoming to me and my cats. Recently had to bring in my cat who was suffering from a rather large gash in his hind quarters. Turned out to be more than a gash and could have turned into something more serious had it not been for the quick actions of the Vet and her assistant. Follow up phone calls reassured me that these guys are there for me and my pet. Highly recommend this veterinary group.

This is the BEST Veterinary Practice in New York City!! They have an incredible group of doctors (Dr. Freedman is my personal favorite)! The doctors are up on the latest medical procedures, drugs etc. Elizabeth, Doctor's Assistant, is always very sure to get all pertinent information about the visit and gives a thorough pre-exam. I love this practice. I've been bringing my greyhound here for years. It is a clean, relaxed environment and Dr. Freedman is great. The staff, Serena and Jody, are wonderful and really on top of getting everything you need. I think the pricing is standard for NYC. They also have a great dental special Feb/March. Great place and me and my greyhound are happy customers.

We've been taking Tilly, our rescued terrier, to this vet group since she first came to live with us five years ago this month. She was suffering from multiple infections and malnutrition, and frankly, we weren't even sure she would survive for long. In the capable care of Dr. Freedman and his colleagues, Tilly has blossomed into a wonderfully loving, incredibly healthy dog. The entire staff at RVG has been helpful, courteous, and involved in her care. As long as I live in NYC, Tilly will remain a patient at RVG.
